Megan Rohrer is a nationally recognized humanitarian, historian, public theologian, artist and speaker whose work explores how history, creativity and public service can help communities navigate change, deepen belonging and build more humane systems.
With more than two decades of experience spanning homelessness and housing policy, nonprofit leadership, faith communities, LGBTQ+ history, the arts and civic engagement, Megan brings an unusual combination of frontline experience, scholarship and storytelling to public conversations.
In 2021, Megan became the first openly transgender bishop in a major U.S. Christian denomination, a historic milestone that received international attention. Today, his work includes homelessness policy and advocacy, teaching, historical preservation, writing, art and public speaking.
